A poem birthed from the beauty of the heavens.

I sit here under starlight skies,
Thinking of just you and me,
What we have and have not done,
What we will and will not do.

I look to the sky,
With its clouds floating high,
I wonder if you see,
The same starlight skies.

With your eyes toward the sky,
Do you see the stars up high,
The moon glowing ever so brightly,
Or the perfect picture as a whole?

Do you hear the distant cry,
Of a creature in the wood,
Or the campfire crackling,
Blazing as it should?

Once again I turn my eyes,
Toward the starlight skies,
I say a quiet prayer,
Just for me and you.
