swishing
swirling
glowing
floating

clouds up above so fragile,
     so weak but no pity given
     to the humbled soul
travel with the clouds
     and dream a little dream
     of future endeavors yet to be seen
reach out, stretch hard and long
to grab the stars beyond the clouds,
     stars which were born
     to shine in all their glory
          the stars twinkle and flutter
          in the dark of the midnight sky
you swish and swirl
among the glowing, floating clouds,
as you dream your little dream
to twinkle and flutter among the stars
within the midnight sky’s quiet darkness

reach out to grab a hold of your dreams
to never let them flutter and fade
out of existence

if your dreams are extinct
does that mean you are existing
or that you are just surviving
