Homeric theme of returning warrier.

I hurt to think you have no stars
To guide you home from battle
How will you now return to me
I fear your steps might go astray

What if false light attracted you
Or true light be reflected wrongly
Might you be misled maliciously
By lodestone compass mal-directed

Might your path be found obstructed
Barricades too high to clime
Bulwarks over which you cannot pass
Moats and trenches far to wide

I will send you then my spirit
On wings of glass to seek you out
To find and fly you back to me
Over any rampart high

But how shall my spirit find you
For it too needs stars for guidance
Lest perchance it hear your voice
As it commands your sails wind

But even I now do hear your shouts
They cause a swirling breeze
That softens as it rounds my head
And speaks sweet things into my ear

I am coming home now, I hear you say
At last I have found my way to you
It was not the stars I needed after all
Your love did make the stronger beacon

Aww thats a nice poem. I liked the beginning part better than the others…i dont know why…except wings of glass? why? first off glass shatters and so when i read i felt very ..worried that your wings will shatter. and then, theyre too heavy to fly! it just bothered me. what was the point of making them out of glass? i wondered maybe youll use it as a telescope?
