A.N.Trani.
His jacket stayed on the peg
as he carefully touched the side of her face.
Ashamed of what he had done
but intoxicated by her fragility.
He let his lips
gently press against hers,
his thumb rising up her spine –
Small bones.
Impossibly small frame.
She had become ghost like
since he had been with her.
He would kill for her and
here she was,
still with him. Even though
he had mistook his nature,
forgiven with the quiet
beatings of her heart.
