This was inspired by my two year old niece.

This looks like a big cotton ball,
It’s soft and fluffy, and best of all…
Its sweet and soft to my taste,
And as soon as it touches my tongue it melts away.

I can put so much in my mouth so small,
And it disappears without having to chew at all!
The stick in my hand is growing longer
While this edible cotton ball is soon a goner.

Its sugar on my face.
With the sweet stuff, my lips are traced.
It’s so yummy
And I’m so hyper as it has reached my tummy!

Now that I have finished my treat,
My fingers are sticky when they meet.
Though I licked each, trying my best…
Sticky, sticky, what a sticky mess!

So, I thought I’d do a better job;
I took a Kleenex from its box,
But it stuck to my fingers too, who would’ve guessed??
Sticky, sticky, what a sticky mess!

I love candy floss so much, but it does indeed make a sticky mess. Great poem, and a lovely photo to go with it.

Gotta love kids, even when they get gooey and sticky and slimey!

The kinds of things kids say and do. Precious and can make you laugh so hard you hurt yourself.
