Reflecting on a affair.

clear, cool, hopeful

knowing yet unknowingly

the quiet seduction of the tide, drawing me into her

drifting beyond the reef’s edge

exciting and turbulent

passionate, deep, dark

beauty of the reef, dimmed; light unable to peer through its thickness

enveloped by cold blue loneliness

I’m held but nothing surrounds me

the expectation of the moon’s light

you hadn’t promised your presence

purposely withholding

lost, numb by your absence

surrendering of what must be

the safety of the cove once forgotten

a Knowing Current returning me home

still water

clear, cool, right

No me habías prometido tu presencia

Retenida a propósito

Perdido, adormecido por tu ausencia

Redeado de lo que debe ser

la seguridad de la cueva una vez olvidada

Una corriente conocida regresándome a casa

Aguas tranquilas

Clara, fría, correcta

    Love these lines the most:

“a Knowing Current returning me home

    still water”

    Sounds like song lyrics.

    Wonderful!!

    Blessings.

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.

I like the flow of this piece. Each line very smooth as it moves into the stance. Everything comes together with a dark and longing undertone.

    Nice to read this piece.

Keep writing more about it. It is really gracefully and very well written skill.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers.

Good piece. It felt cold and lonely. Then, a solemn reprieve “from which one can grow in strenght.”

Many women/men have inspired touchingly beautiful pieces like this :-) People can’t help who they fall in love or in lust with .. but they can choose whether or not they want to harbour regrets or guilt ~ wonderful poetry Domenico :-)
