On hearing his song, Emily wanted to reply. ‘But how?’ she wondered. Then she decided ‘I’ll write to him’
[His location is given in his song- polar ice, stream, garden, cool place with stream and lots and lots of flowers- yes the mountains!]
What she wrote? This is her note…

PART-3

SONG OF A MAIDEN

Whenever I look at the mirror,

Instead of mine, I see your figure.

Even if trees are frozen still,

I feel a breeze so pleasant and chill.

If you in my head, I should see,

My heart seems to run like a horse- to me

You are someone very special,

Whom I would protect from any missile.

The heart that race,

The breeze on my face;

Fills my heart with glee,

I feel like dancing on the lee.

To others you may be a trinket;

But to me, you are a goblet;

Which feeds me with pure love,

That makes my heart peaceful as a dove.

I’ll mention that I miss you.

To me this is totally new.

And like a cat’s continuous mew,

I want to say, “I love you…I love you…”

But see what the lord has done,

He has made me totally dumb;

And is watching happily now,

How I suffer with ‘untold love’.

When my message reaches you,

Before or after morning dew,

Make sure that I’m longing to-

Meet my love, that’s you!

‘Morrow I’ll be at the park,

And return home by dark.

I want you to come o’er there,

And accompany me-the chance is rare.

For in a party, my people’ll be gay,

And all would look like golden may..

I, considered as black mark,

Will be all alone in Town Park.

I bid adieu oh my love,

As I send this message through this dove;

Come there and say to me,

Whether or not you truly love me.
