Moaning and groaning that I hear
Yes, I know that our rights
are slowly being taken
away from us.
I don’t like it either.
Stand up and be heard!
Change the world!
Make a difference
in this world
in a constructive way.
Count our blessings.
We still have the right to marry
who we want.
We still have the right to work
where we want.
We still have the right to write
whatever we want.
We still have the right to eat,
sleep when we want.
We still have the right to education.
I get tired of
all the moaning and groaning.
I see the negative side of the U.S. A.
but I want to see the positive side.
I want to believe
believe in hope and peace
and the goodness
for this world of ours.
