Poem about neighbours who are strangers.

I see you from across the fence
But then you didn’t say hello
Or acknowledged my presence
Instead you build walls
Walls so high; impenetrable

Oh how I wish I knew your name
I don’t care too much about your fame.
Just a simple hello and goodbye
Is enough
Enough to say you are human
I am human.

So next time dear neighbour
Don’t treat me like a stranger
Remove the barriers instead
I could be your keeper
And you, mine.

So next time dear neighbour
Don’t treat me like a stranger
I am thy neighbour.
Natchielous
