Your strength shows in small things that you do
The helping hand reached out to children
The smile and hello you give to strangers
The kind words you give to everyone

You say you think nothing of these acts
Perhaps so, they are so much a part of you
Your mother raised you in this loving way
It’s all second nature to you now

But unconscious acts are not to be discounted
They reflect the strength within your soul
A well honed willingness to love all others
Without concern for how they might respond
