Place before

The sunshine so brightly
In that brook

Like this, today

Smile with that twinkle
In your eye
It speaks more
Than words could
Ever say

I have never felt the rain
Wash over me, so
Never felt it touch
Every inch
Melt away all the pain
And sorrow
From my weary
Soul, completely

I have never felt
Your strength
So powerfully
It’s stronger than that
Solitary oak,
Its wise seasoned centuries
As it sways
To the rhythmic
Breeze

I have never felt
Your touch so poignantly

And I beg your forgiveness
Beg for your love
As I spend my life
Forever, on my knees.
