London 1900’s.

If you want an hour of crowded life on a Sunday morning,

As you walk the quite streets of the west it comes without warning,

Leave behind, the  Holland Park Avenue, and Notting Hill scene,

Walk into Sidar Road at Bolton Street to Crescent Green.

Here you will see  big crowds that packs the street,

This is a ‘Rag Fair’ a street market a place to meet,

The market is packed all the way down the block,

And dissapears into the ether, dead on twelve oclock.

The stalls are hidden by a great big crowd,

Stall holders shouting their bargains aloud,

Rags and torn shoes are, on show, end to end,

All at a penny, a penny? ‘Yes a penny my friend.’
