It’ll fall apart without trust.

Held captive in a stronghold

Encaged by strong walls of fuchsia

Locked in a barricade of bone

So there is no escape

Unless I rip this pure heart

Out of this loving woman’s chest

I was lured here

With a smile and a hug

Seemingly harmless

It was safe and warm

So I took cover

But ended up getting smothered

I didn’t complain

Even though I knew her love

Was more than I could handle

Her love flowed through her kiss

Like the breath of life

I liked it so much

That it inspired me to write

But not all good

Worries of me leaving

Infiltrated the stronghold

Seized me and put me under arrest

Interrogation was the next step

After hearing truth in perfect ways

She found that her stronghold had no nails

She found that her heart had no trust

To hold it altogether and keep me inside

So she let her love fall away

Even though I tried

To keep her feelings for me fresh

Her emotions died

And desired nothing more

Than the lusts of the flesh
