Poem.

Your family stays
There for you, day by day
At least they should be, you would think
You hate your mother
Honor thy father
Be loyal to them, and worship them as Gods
But the time always comes for life to end
Bringing wounds time can not mend
I’ll miss him forever
And think of him daily
he’s in a better place
Though I’m still stuck in this space.

Now my mother
The only person I have left
Has nearly passed in her psychotic way
And left me alone
Of course I’ll live through it
My sanity will stay in tact
But my emotions will be a wreck
That is a mere matter of fact

Love is a strong emotion
One tied to memory and loss
We love and we lose
The time for it, we don’t get to choose
You can never be ready for what is to come
Nor can you simply give up those in your life that are number one.
The only thing you can do is remember them in your heart
No matter the time or situation
It’ll make you stronger, and able to move on
