Two ending relationships.

Stuck on Repeat

She anticipated this

Over thinking again

There was another miss

It happened then

He was there for the first disheartening

She prays he’ll stay for her now

Disappointment engulfed in their departing

She permanently furrowed her brow

Salty streams froze her face

Tissues cracked the skin of her nose

He wasn’t one to replace

The emotional and physical eruption rose

She was too clever to deny

She wasn’t motivated enough to try

She was too sensitive to lie

She was fragile and apt to cry

Another pit was being dug

They had an equivalent ride

They were done with the slug

The young one spoke, but denied

It happened again

Similar event, different couple

It happened then

Relationships buried in rubble

Thank you! Writing is an outlet for me during difficult times. I wrote most of my poetry a few years ago. Thanks for reading and commenting. 0;)
