Just forbidden.

When nearness hurts
and deep breaths
do not ease the pain.

When arms can reach
yet will never touch
for such is forbidden.

When smiles speak
when eyes reflect
such that is hidden.

resolve strengthens.
When the heart whispers
the mind refused to listen.

Only time can heal
with distance and indifference,
myself be whole again.

The nearness hurts
and deep breaths
do not ease the pain.

The shortness of your poem and the lines and words used made it delicate. Good.

Surely the healing you describe in your creativity is something which we all (as humans) must come to experience.
