Everyone has vanished.

Image via Wikipedia

Suddenly everyone’s not here

Undoubtedly they’ve all vanished

Disappeared without a trace

Don’t know where they’ve gone

Eerie silence fills the night

Not a sound can be heard

Left here all alone and scared

Yelling out my friends names

Everyone suddenly disappeared

Vanished right before my eyes

Eliminated from this Earth

Remainder of humankind gone

Yelling loudly for my friends

Only echoes that I can hear

Nobody around to answer me

Everyone has left and gone

Silence is all that I can hear

No voices calling out to me

Outside the world is quiet

There are no sounds at all

Horrible thoughts fill my mind

Eerie images appear in my head

Realizing I’m the only one left

Everyone else has disappeared

Spooky but a very well written poem. Maybe it’s just a dream.

When darkness disappear, everything will appear, don’t worry.

That would be a scary thought, quite an eerie poem.

a brilliant poem! very very scary but so good!! i think this has to be the ultimate horror; to be left all alone in the whole planet. all those strange sounds and i think one would feel very very lonely and insecure whilst having to survive by seeking food and drink. i love this poem.
