Have you ever just felt…

In God we trust

but so blinded by the lust

its so hard in this world

so its a must

because we turn to dust

we only have one life

to us is given

we can only grow

by what we leave

and what we take in

its hard to keep money

from leading us to blindness

its hard to love

in a world so absent of kindness

in this world

our ship is headed for depression

another repeated

forgotten lesson

will we grow

or is it regression

its got me stressin’

 pacing holes in the floors

they say the worlds an open book

but im knockin’ on

closed and locked doors

so much remorse

for the life I was paved in

is it mutiny on the bounty

or another chance at savin’

I stay prayin’

steady burnin these plastic keys

searching another way

in this life to set me free

life is no breeze

it gets kinda windy

like the typhoon

that killed 10,000 people off in Haiti

I can only blame me

for the steps I took in this life

if you didnt choose whats right

your only turnin off your own lights

its time to fight

or peacefully withdraw

Im breathing in the air

but it feels like through a straw

suffocated

I enjoyed this. Although I almost didn’t get passed the first line—thinking it was just gonna be a religious rant. Glad I carried on—very good.

Nice job! To me it seems like a rap song… I can picture Eminen up on stage…
    Thanks,

That’s great, very original style, I love the way you ended it with the image of breathing through a straw.
