I believe some friends are guardian angels who come into your life just when you need them the most.

There once was a time in my life,

when I had thoughts of suicide.

My life was rapidly falling apart,

there was nowhere for me to hide.

I was molested by an Uncle,

one who I thought that I could trust.

But he was a mean and evil man,

filled with sinful and perverted lust.

Years later I was raped again,

by the man who lives next door.

The trust that I had built back,

was wiped away just like before.

I didn’t have anywhere to turn,

there was no one I could talk to.

Putting an end to the sexual abuse,

was something I knew that I had to do.

That is when the suicidal thoughts,

started to form inside my head.

But after meeting a caring friend,

in the right direction I was lead.

This friend is my guardian angel,

sent to me from God up above.

He showed me how to trust again,

with his honesty and unfailing love.

I have had dark times in my life such as you describe, where the burden was so heavy that I felt there was no way out. I am in one now, but I am telling myself that all things will end eventually. Sad to hear about the uncle and neighbor. When we are young, it is hard to sort out who can be trusted. If only we had the knowledge then, that we have when we are older. One thing we know when we are older is that men are easily tempted by pretty girls. Men have different levels of control. Sounds bad, but it’s true. That’s why some men commit rape on a relative or friend and end up committing suicide themselves because they find that they cannot accept what they did.
