A poem about summer and its bounty of flowers and insects and blue sky days.

Summer settles down like a fat lady on a too soft couch

Holding the remote control on cloudless days of cerelean blue.

She props up her feet on mounds of clover,

Turns up the cicadas volume.

Holding the remote control on cloudless days of cerelean blue

She rainbow snacks on flower petals tasting of the sun and rain and earth.

Her fingers tap out crickets rthymn

And reach for a tall glass of sweet raindrop dew.

Her corpulent girth ripens in shades of green

Her fingers tap out crickets rthymn

Summer settles down like a fat lady on a too soft couch

Her corputlent girth ripens in shades of green

She props up her feet on mounds of clover.
