Summer is a special season,

for families to have some fun.

Spending time together outdoors,

beneath the bright and shining sun.

for vacations at the beach.

Building castles in the sand,

listening to the seagulls screech.

for family picnics in the park.

Walking along the nature trails,

watching children play until dark.

for talking a long scenic drive.

Going hiking in the mountains,

fresh air to make us feel alive.

for cookouts and barbecues.

A time for rest and relaxation,

a big inspiration for my muse.
