I could not stop thinking about everything and noticing every detail.
Summer nights
Awake all the time
It’s to hard to sleep
So go outside
And sit alone
In the middle of the city
Look around
And take a deep breath
Listen to all those different sounds
And think
About everything
Like those people that always call
Just to show they care
Think about god sometimes
Its a whole different world out there
Right now the cement steps are so cold and hard to even sit
And the way the lightning flickers every other minute
The sprinkler makes the noise of the water
The cold droplets from that water that bearly touch your feet
All the lights everywhere
All the cars that drive by
They dont see what I see
Sence im growing up so fast
Its nice to stop
And take sometime to think
To breath
This poem is not about me
Its not about you
Its just about the world you see
Life as we know it is so sweet
A kitten so cute
So little, so soft, so curious
But as it grows it changes
Not only how it looks
But how it sees things
Now its cute
Not so small
Curious always but they are alot like me and you
So take your time
Dont grow up so fast
and when your old
Look back on your past
And you will see
The kid in me
and the only same thing will be
All those summer nights you were thinking
and taking your time
no hurry at all
And keeping your rymth
Don’t forget to be young
Like a kitten you see
Cause summer nights
are the same as they used to be
Day by day
Night by night
Summer time is just so right!
