Perfect memories :

One long lazy day of summer heat

Brimming a wicker basket of picnic delights

Threatening to explode it is so full

Even a bottle of sauvignon to grace taste buds

Not as sweet or tender as a lovers lips

Then, nothing else could be as perfect

Half laying there

Your lover beside you on nature’s emerald green

Dotted here and there white daisy heads

Curiously watching

What more could a man ask for

Delightfully reality not a dream

Escaping from this hectic world

Just for a while

To lay and talk

Laughter bathing the breeze

Willows bending to listen

Forgetting the time, as time seems endless

Only the sun betrays the time

Scuttling lower so fast

Making space for a lovers moon

Cradled in a crown of glisten jewels

Magical memories captured

To be relived again later in the icy winter blanket

When the warm memories want attention

You paint a beautiful picture with your poetry my friend, nicely done.

The old saying, “Paint me a picture Grand and forever embedded in my mind with your words,” comes to mind! Excellent poetry my friend!
