A brief snapshot of a summer night.

Summer Evening
(Home)

Lonely cry of loon
at twilight.

Muskrat kits frolic
in shallows.

Moonlit waves dance
against the shore.

Fireflies glowing
drift gently past.

Velvet black trees
touch Milky Way.

Windows cast welcomes
out of darkness.

Last time of the day
door closes.

Home.

Thinking of a lovely summer evening out on such a dreary day can really cheer you up…

    “Last time (for) the day
    door closes.”

I know those Minnesota evenings, but I just had to edit that last sentence. ;-)
