When your day starts out gloomy than turns to an unexpected adventure.
It happened one long hot summer’s day
The bottom fell out and I had just had to say
When the ocean tide came in so clear
Washing out our sandcastles over here
Nothing to say except, “Sunset California” is here to stay
Her eyes were radiant like burning beacons full of play
Walking on Redondo Beach my heart filled with joy that whole day!
All my friends yelled, “Hey!” Across the Pacific Coast Highway!
I recall the seagulls, breeze, Briana and me
Her smile was wide, happy, and so free
I put my arm around her gentle waist and had to say!
We walked until dusk along King Harbor shore all day!
The ocean sparkling by moonlight this wonderful night!
Watching the LA horizon aglow like Christmas lights!
She made this celebration, chasing my blues away
She took my shaky hand and kissed me by the bay
