This is a poem about Super Tuesday.
It finally is upon us,
The big event is here.
To tell the winners from the losers,
It should be very clear.
It’s the Super Bowl of politics,
One very special day.
The winners will move on,
The losers will go away.
The competition is intense
To see who will survive.
Already most have bitten the dust,
And no longer are politically alive.
Obama and Clinton are waging a war
To see who will get the Democratic nomination.
After a series of heated battles,
Perhaps one will go on vacation.
McCain and Romney are the leading contenders
For the Republican spot.
Huckabee and Ron Paul
Seem to be an after thought.
The battle is ready to take place,
Let the voting booths heat up.
The night will be very long
For this old tired pup.
