London 1900’s.
In any neat suburban road in London the city,
Golder’s Green, Kings Cross and Surbiton look pretty,
The bright assured and insured and uninsured homes,
Stand smartly to attention behind low walls of stones .
At first glance it seems that every house has its own unique plot,
A closer look shows only four types of places are built on this spot,
And inside a dear little wife who works on her own.
Not happy or contented till hubby comes home.
The dear little wife then gets him his food,
She watches him closely trying to guess at his mood,
If it seems good she will ask him tonight,
About having a familly as the time is now right.
