SURGEON (Tanka Form)

A warrior ready,

Holding the tools of battle,

Thrusts blade into fray,

Removing decay and death,

Restoring my life’s balance.

For those of you unfamiliar with the form Tanka, it is quite similar to Haiku, except for the addition of two more lines of seven syllables or on.
