I see my gym bag
it’s there on top of dirty clothes
where I just threw it

because I ran today
I do not want to sit here
to play a new card game
with you or anybody else

a shower would feel good now
since I always get sweaty and smelly
when I run under the blaring sun
of the afternoon hours

it’s dreadfully fun
getting sweaty and smelly
yet nobody likes it
if I stand next to them
with the wind coming at me
especially before cleaning up
with water and soap

oh well
not many can talk
about trying to loose weight
and actually doing something
to get rid of what one doesn’t want
