This is another original composition by Steven Milligan.
I’ll take a trip down, then one more up.
Finding life between pews and love in emotion.
Reading, the reading of the word.
I believe. I believe I’ve misheard heard you.
I’ll read of disciples, a gruesome bunch.
Finding war in love, and faith in confusion.
Fleeing, the fleeing of the many.
Running for the exits. They say no good-byes.
Why do I stay? Why do they run?
I stay because of what the world heard.
They run because of what the world told them.
Empty souls serve a full God, the broken are the strongest. Paradoxes aren’t in demand here, but souls are. Donate a drug addict, a porn star, a liar, a cheater, a murderer, a YOU today.
