As people we have a tendency to want to fit into the groups and be liked. But that doesn’t mean that we need to act like everyone else does it? Here’s a poem about just that.
The road of life is a narrow one
So crowed, and tight for room
That once a movement has begun
In one direction all must move
But hey, just one way that we all most go?
but then were is individuality?
Do we all have to linger, and move with the flow
Or should our own person, we strive to be?
Should we ask “what do others do?”
Or should you try to be more like you
When others whisper, try to yell
When they’re quiet, that’s a cue to tell
No matter what, the reason will seem
It’s OK to try and swim upstream
