Take a look around

What do you see?

People standing about

As passive as can be.

Do they even realize?

Do they even see?

The rains of demise,

It’s sure plain to me.

We pollute the earth together

And factories coerce.

Our government tells us it’ll get better

But, honestly it got worse.

We destroy the earth around us

With infrastructure and parking lots.

Changes are so callous

There’ll be nothing left for the tots.

But what would others do,

If you stood for what’s right?

Would they come to the rescue?

Or just take flight?
