Take away the makeup.

And you’ll still be the loveliest thing I’ve seen.

Take away the lip stick.

And you’ll still be the prettiest thing I’m seen.

While other measure beauty in the sight before them.

I measure looks by your confidence within.

And with you I seen it time and time again.

Take away the eye shadow.

Which you truly don’t need.

Your eyes will be a spotlight showcasing your heart.

The insensitive folks loves to tell you about their looks.

But cries when you take their picture without their makeup.

God placed us here with nothing but his blessing.

And looks wasn’t a major part of his scheduling us.

His only requirement was requesting us to love.

So take away the fakeness.

And you’ll still be real.

Because others will see the way we love.

And, it’s simply beautiful.
