Before you step over to the other side, always take heed to look before you leap.

Though it entices you
And looks alluring
The grass is not always greener
On the other side

For you may fail to see
The burnt seared grass
Hidden beneath

Your eyes see
Only what they want to see
Unsuspecting
Unknowing

As a fish sees a worm
It fails to see the hook
That is about to make him void
Of the waters
That he calls home

Very well written. In the same way we often see the book by its cover and we are dismayed to read the contents. . .

The other side can be so attractive, only to realise that when we meet her she was wearing a mask all along! Nice piece Tanya!
