God gave us our many talents

You may not realize

So many that we each have

And daily utilize

The ability to lend a helping hand

Or a sympathetic ear

A shoulder for one to lean upon

Or a hand to wipe a tear

These are the gifts God gave us

A talent is each one

No trophies or ribbons are handed out

Our rewards are with the Son

So the next time you soothe a crying child

And shower them with love

You’ve used  a very special gift

That was granted from above!
