Even grown men pout when they don’t get what they want.

God placed a special gift on this earth just for me.

Once I held her I envisioned a galaxy of possibility.

My adoration consumed my desires

Life was not worth living the seconds we were apart

He said, “You show too much attention to the gift I gave,”

and placed her back in the box.

I hated Him. “Give her back I,” cried.

He never answered just replied, “Trust in Me.”

Bitterness became a sweet flavored fruit

I despised all that was pure.

Never stopping to think the gift was always mine.

Not until His love became clear from the words I refused to hear.

Trust in Him.

Why did I ever stop believing the gift was for me?

When we throw tantrums, emotions take the place of reason

and the situation spins out of control.

Life is so much easier when we trust in the unseen rather

than acting on what we think we know.

I am just thankful for the gift He gave again.
