Poem about a taxi ride in London.

Taxi taxi please, take me anywhere,

where I do not care, and I will pay the fare…

Just show me London town, the streets and the docks,

drive me all around, show me the tower and that clock…

Is that river clean, tell me what I’ve seen,

whats that famous hill, show me your driving skills…

Take me to the palace, where your queen hangs out,

maybe to the yard, is that the bill on walkabout…

Whats this bridge called, is this those doctors street,

stop by a shop or mall,I will get us something to eat…

Its strange to see a policeman , riding on his mount,

nothing like that in New Zealand, will you give me a discount…

Take me to the clubs, all night bars and pubs,

to your glittering shows, and where the drinks flows…

Show me the life of night, of this big town of yours,

the money is not tight, I will pay you of course…

There’s so much to see, in only a short time,

soon I must flee, into bed I will climb…..
