Teach Me

What love can do if you are willing to learn.

When I am with you,

I hold my head up high.

I can count all the stars that are in the sky,

because you lift me up so high.

The moon is within my reach,

I can count the grains of sand that are on the beach.

these are the feelings that you teach.

When I am with you,

I can count the sparkles on a stream.

when I am with you,

I can count the specks in a sun beam.

When I am with you,

I do not need to dream.

You have opened my eyes,

to a force that is old and wise.

When I am not with you my feelings are the same,

the flame in my heart will never be tamed,

you keep it burning while,

I am learning.

For now and forever my teacher you will be.
