You made me cry but i stuck around,
you never abused me physically but yet you hurt me so bad,
you were supposed to care,
you were supposed to be there for me,
and hold me tight and tuck me in at night,
what happened to what you were supposed to be,
my absent daddy,
you maybe my father but your not my dad,
i will never forget the pain you caused,
the tears i cried and the time i lost,
what did i do wrong,
was i not the daughter you wanted,
was i never good enough,
that’s they way you made me feel,
like i wasn’t important, like i couldn’t do anything right,
i cried when you came home from work,
yet mom was always there to dry my tears and brush my hair
and to love me more than you ever could
