Tears That are Shed – Susan Varo 3-20-2008
Sometimes some things
that are said
are better left
inside our head
Just like the things
we sometimes dread
like all those tears
we sometimes shed
When we don’t know
right from wrong
we find ourselves
where we don’t belong
Our words belie us
when we’re not strong
it’s like were singing
our saddest song
Sometimes few words
are worst instead
of a letter written
to be read
Just like to the pain
we’re sometimes led
and to all those tears
we sometimes shed
Sometimes some things
are sometimes said
sometimes some tears
are sometimes shed
