The first sonnet I ever wrote, please enjoy.

Tracing paradoxical lines of Zen,
Mysticism speculates and I emote;
Severing intricate patterns of the pen,
“In my eye I see God, and God sees me.”
By the murmur of a different stroke,
We learn the paths we have not traveled.
If the abstract can establish who spoke;
Zen is One with living facts considered.
And so far be it from me to know,
Of the philosophic dictums freely
Expressed by the highly sensitive soul;
“In my eye I see God, and God sees me.”
And if you have an understanding then,
That is something affirming of Zen.
