A poem written about the pain a girl can go through when left alone, without a friend in sight.
When all she sees is blue
it’s hard to find what’s true
she’s lost in this world so thin
when all she wants is to fit in
They all call her names like hippo
tank and beastly too
but if they could ever look closer
they’d see a whole ‘nother view
She sits in her closet
crying
over the mean things they’ve said
She holds the blade to her arm
bleeding
silently wishing she were dead
Words can cut so much deeper
than they’ll ever know
yet nobody seems to notice
that a few words could stop the flow
At school they all poke fun
laughing at how she looks
if they only had the time
they’d see past the cover of the book
On the bus she sits by herself
not a single friend in sight
she stares ahead until her stop
fighting the urge to cry with all her might
She sits in her closet
crying
over the mean things they’ve said
She holds the blade to her arm
bleeding
silently wishing she were dead
Words can cut so much deeper
than they’ll ever know
yet nobody seems to notice
that a few words could stop the flow
It’s too bad that no one could see
how beautiful she could be
It’s so sad that she had to go
their acceptance was all it took to make the pain slow
She used to sit in her closet
crying
over the mean things they said
No longer does she hold the blade
bleeding
a young teen is now pronounced dead
words can cut so much deeper
now I guess they know
when no one takes the time to notice
it’s so easy to let the blood flow
