Our youth is changing the way they speak. The new generation is heading towards a text talk. As I try to latch onto those new found words. I fear the dictionary will become a thing of the past.

What is all this

Teenage slang!

It makes my ears

Go pop!…With a bang!

The vocalized voice

Comes with a lot of noise

Shortening words

Which sound absurd

Losing the age of grammer

They all seem to

Come out with a stammer

Still I like this new tune

Comes with a rhythmic boom

We may all soon be sending out a text

I wonder what comes next!

Teenagers do love texting here but I hope they will continue to use dictionaries

I enjoyed reading your poem. It is very creative. I am 41 years old. I wonder what my mother thought of our miss use of the English language back them. Excellent work. Blessings to you, Chris
