As we see ourselves in the mirror of reality, so must we observe Nature in all its aspects without, in any way, distorting its image.

Tell me not

            the earth is flat,

Nature not in motion,

             the sky with its horizon

Meets the mighty ocean.

Tell me not

              the seasons never

Harmonize with Nature,

                justifying their own setting  –

Laws and nomenclature.

Tell me not

                 dreams are forever

Empty without meaning,

nor a harvest rich and plenty

Merits not its gleaning.

Tell me not

                     the sun is losing

Grandeur of its light,

                      Nor the moon

Adorning heaven

                       flirts not with the night.

Tell me not

                       that fleeting time

Denies us

                        ways to pause

That effect

                         is undetermined

By some real cause.

Tell me not

                           life is lacking

Blessings that we feel,

                             Nature is but unequipped

To comfort and to heal

Tell me not

                            that hatred

Circumvents all love;

                             why should we acknowledge

A living God above.

Tell me not

                               that sadly

We inherit pain

                                when Love is all-embracing

time and time again!

This is a beautiful poem about nature and God’s hand in creating it. It’s easy to look at creation and forget about the Creator. May we never do such a thing!
