Ten long years have passed

and I stand here almost aghast

by how much I went through

and what I never managed to do

Personal goals and achievements got left behind

although they never left my mind

Always and forever on a guilt trip

at my weakest point it would let rip

Then there was those hard times

It is true to say time has been unkind
