I have lived here most of my life. There is nothing sweeter to me than the nature of Tennessee. Its rolling hill, meadows and muddy waters make for a beautiful scene. To many it is considered hick country, but to me I do not see what it is not but what it is.
The river runs through my veins
Nolachuckey is its name
The mountains, valleys and hills glistened in the sun
As a Tennessee winter is spun
It’s green grass is covered in snow
Waiting for the gentle spring we all know
How I love its mild summer breeze
Fall comes bearing golden leaves
Tennessee girl through and through
Mountain fresh and sweet as dew
Muddy waters and mountain tops
Almost makes her heart stop
