Friendship and lies.

Is one subject to terms and agreements,

should ones friendship be upon that base?

Should one not feel betrayed,

when you go and break the rules?

I was there for you through everything,

and you threw it back in my face,

i know you are screwed up,

and head is all over the place.

But i was there, i always was,

but now you’re not the one i thought you were,

i’m leaving now, i will miss you friend,

but i can no longer stay by your side.

You speak of my job,

like it is something i am contracted to do,

I am a friend, nothing more or less,

i would have been there.

I am not two faced, i only wear one mask,

the one that hides how i feel,

the one i take great care of,

the one now slipping.

I would be there for you,

even if being there,

sent me to heaven!

Now you will have to speak with your own lips,

see with your eyes,

smell with your own nose,

and be with your own self.

I have no conditions,

no terms to which one must agree,

no clauses to stop ones friendship,

no bind to keep.

In final answer to your question,

am i two faced,

I say this to you,

If i was two faced, do you really think i would be wearing this one?

I kinda like this poem. After clicking on the friends tag, it was definitely an intriguing title. I think we all have terms of agreements when building friendships. I think the biggest issue is that we do not often clarify what they are until someone has broken one of the rules. i may have to write about that topic a little later.
