Poem depicting the horrors of terrorism. It commemorates the appalling suicide bomb attacks in Peshawar, Pakistan.

TERROR IN PESHAWAR

A bomb blast roars; the maimed throngs wail

Blood and dust spew; how the dead amass!

Torn body parts steam in sun and fire

The sirens strike dread; their moan a dirge.

All bonds are shards; the mothers who salved

will fester in earth; no mirth for babes.

A woman with child who glowed at gore

Plunged all to doom with powder and fuse.
