Life’s burdens.

I would like to write this little verse,
that puts this soul to rest.
For when it come to trials,
I’ve been put to the test.
In all of life’s ups and downs,
I start to smile,
and then come the frowns.
The road seems straight,
and then I’m on the ground.
In all of this no sense is found.
Where do I go from here?
Tomorrow is another day,
and so I lay me down, and pray,
for the strength to face another test.
I awake at dawn, by grace,
to the same old rat race,
and so I set my face
toward the evening star.
For there I place my appeal,
when at my bedside I kneal,
and I begin to pray,
Lord take this burden from me,
and help me through the day.

nice read! Life is full of ups and downs for everyone but life sure can be fun. With out some downs we wouldn’t be able to enjoy our ups quite as much lol. Have a great day and keep up the great writing.

A very good poem. We all face these trials each and every day of our lives. You came up with the right solution to all your problems, two knees and talking it over with your creator. Well done.

Great reminder – trials develop faith, faith develops perseverance, perseverance brings maturity. Dave Droveky (baseball player who lost his pitching arm to cancer, I don’t think I have spelled his name right) told us that the difference he has seen between the growing churches in Asia and the disintegrating ones in North America is the way we pray. We ask God to lift our burdens, they pray for stronger backs to carry their burdens.

You are right, when we have trials, our strength will be tested. If we are strong enough will be be alright, but if we are not we will fall apart.

Our burdens are made lighter, with His mercy. His grace and blessings, give us the strength to face, yet another trial.

You inspire me to write, through your efforts. Thank you.
