People keep telling me that true friends are hard to find,

And I just don’t believe them, because I have you here by my side.

I’ve heard people grumble about friends and how they lost them,

And I don’t understand, for you’ve been with me through thick and thin.

I’ve heard people say they just lost track of their friends,

And I remain appalled, for you have never let distance keep us apart.

But I guess, all the talking finally got to me,

And in many ways, I’m glad it did!

For now, more than ever, I know what you and I have is rare!
